TSUNAMI 21,297
I'm not supporting this. If politicians can steal so much money, and kill many by those actions then ordinary people that are sometimes pushed to the breaking point because of various reasons and sill not get sentenced with similar punishment then I wanna killers to walk loose around the world. We as a society are sometimes hypocritic.

'Cruel and unusual punishment' is intended to stop torture or humiliation. Electrocution in particular was designed to be a quick and humane method of execution: "Electric chair: this execution method, conceived in 1881 by a Buffalo, New York, dentist named Alfred P. Southwick, was developed throughout the 1880s as a humane alternative to hanging." Gas chambers were also viewed as more modern and civilized than hanging or shooting. They are supposed to use gas which renders the person unconscious. Ronnie Lee Gardner requested and got a firing squad in 2010. "I like the firing squad. It's so much easier ... and there's no mistakes." — Ronnie Lee Gardner, 1996 I don't see how 'lethal injection' is more humane than any of the above. It's about the same as the gas chamber or the electric chair. The main issue, IMO, is the preparation, not the execution itself.
