Why do streams on their trash site make up for so much of the chart results. I agree. The fact that their streams are more heavily weighted than actual sales is ridiculous. If her next project will be catchy, fun and good, streaming numbers will be high without streaming deal. If she will deliver bad album, there's no streaming deal that would save it. They can put million banners all over internet and people may click on it, but if the song is bad they won't repeat it. Basic listeners won't force themselves to like it just because it's xxxx singer like fans are doing it. This is sadly not true. She will be too old by the time she releases her next album. Most people already wrote her off and once people formed their opinion about you it is hard to change their mind. The only pop star in recent times who managed to do it was Justin Bieber, but radio played him. Radio does NOT play Gaga's songs, or only barely. The fact is, she will never have big chart success again. Joanne was her last chance and she blew it. By the time she releases her next album she will be even more faded and just a distant memory in people's minds.

She is still young. Look at Madonna. She is still delivering. Radio doesn't play her new music because it's bland and boring. Even some of us fans don't feel it so how do you expect masses to eat it up? But they are playing her old hits here in Europe so it's not like they don't play her at all... Bieber is played on the radio because he is delivering. The same goes for Ariana. When you deliver people forget about all sh!t you made. Also she is not forgotten yet. She got a lot of praise after SB. She could use all this hype to release bop album, but she is forcing this Joanne thing... That day when she will stop being stubborn and deliver good bops she will be big again...

artpoprebellion 325
Apple seems to be shading the new Katy song. Not listed on their Browse tab, and when you go on Katy's artist page, the "latest release" is Rise Remixes. Edit: Disregard what I said, mine wasn't refreshed I guess. Runway 27,876
The company’s marketers will continue to work with the singer to prove they can help sell records and concert tickets better than any radio station or rival streaming service. How pretentious of them. perched for her first week sales lmao

That's the difference between a commercial singer and a artist. If all your music is meant to do is sell and "bop" it will ALWAYS lack true substance and will be forgotten. Gaga may have experienced a commercial peak due to great timing early on , but the musical legacy she's left already overshadows that of Katy Perry and quite a few others. If all she wanted was for her music to sell she's do what Katy and the rest are doing (pay to push the song). She's seemingly moved on from that phase in her career and is going well without the overwhelming commercial exposure. Also Joanne is far from bland or boring, that's just poor musical taste talking.
