Branflakes 137
I was kind of thinking she was going to kill it with this album with a really strong image and new wave of great music. Then this came out and it sounds like a generic popstar-ess song. And I actually find the melody and lyrics a bit of a desperate reach. Doesn't seem to have any levels of meaning over than surface value. But then I've never felt her music ever really came from a deep creative place. Im sure it will do well though, because, you know... It's Katy Perry...

PoshLife 16,995
I was hoping I'd like it but I don't To be honest, I was never a big Katy fan but 2016 and how strongly she supported Hillary really changed my mind about her. I low-key liked some of her songs like "Waking Up in Vegas," "Firework," and "Roar," but this new song just doesn't do it for me at all. The lyrics are kind of busy and don't really fit the melody that well, and the chorus isn't memorable. The video was a nice concept, though.

bujibu 462
Her voice on it sounds terrible. Give the beat to Carly Slay Jepsen please so she can put new lyrics over it. Ms. Carly Slay is working with Swedish disco bop producers and if anyone is bringing that back, it's Ms. Slay.
