So, Christina Aguilera recently posted a picture of her in the studio working on finishing touches to her new album, and so I thought it'd be nice to make a collection of everything (well, almost everything) we know so far.

This album has been in the works since 2014, and seems to be nearing completion and release, nearly five years after her last album, "Lotus". It has been described as "caviar ratchet" more than once, particularly by production duo Da Internz.

Confirmed producers and bopworthy productions (until I gave up at the end, sorry not sorry), along with any statements about their work that came from Christina herself:

Spoiler

Da Internz
"Birthday Cake" - Rihanna
"Anaconda" - Nicki Minaj
"Dance (A$$)" - Big Sean

Harmony Samuels

"The Way" - Ariana Grande
"Say Love" - JoJo

Pharrell Williams
"I Was Gonna Cancel" - Kylie Minogue
"Can't Rely On You" - Paloma Faith
"ATM Jam" - Azealia Banks

Christina said about her work with Pharrell, "It’s genuine and it’s heartfelt and I’m very excited to pour my heart out into this record fully, I’ve been gathering and writing and coming up with these amazing ideas for different parts of how I was feeling the past year, so I’m really excited to vocalize all of it and make it all come together."

David Hodges
"Because of You" - Kelly Clarkson
"Addicted" - Kelly Clarkson
"Louder" - Lea Michele

BIG Tank
"On Our Way" - Christina Aguilera
"Oh Mother" - Christina Aguilera
"One Minute Man" - Missy Elliot

DJ Premier
"Ain't No Other Man" - Christina Aguilera
"Back in the Day" - Christina Aguilera
"Still Dirrty" - Christina Aguilera

LunchMoney Lewis
"Ain't Your Mama" - Jennifer Lopez
"Watch Me Do" - Meghan Trainor
"Burnin' Up" - Jessie J

Elle King
"America's Sweetheart" - Elle King
"Playing for Keeps" - Elle King
"Ex's and Oh's" - Elle King

Christina confirmed she was working with her and said she was "raw, relatable, and a little gritty," and that she "has a really honest approach to telling a story."

Linda Perry
"What You Waiting For?" - Gwen Stefani
"Keeps Gettin' Better" - Christina Aguilera
"Beautiful" - Christina Aguilera

Christina confirmed their new collaboration; "I’m working with some new producers that I haven’t before. And I’m reuniting with some old producers that I have always had a long time connection with, including Linda Perry who I did ‘Beautiful’ with. We have such a beautiful chemistry and connection"

Speculated producers

Spoiler

Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels
Christina was confirmed to have taken two songs written by Gaga's dear friend(s) nearly two years ago. It's unclear whether these songs have gone any further or if they're involved in more than writing.
Writing Credits:
"Used To Love You" - Gwen Stefani
"Good For You" - Selena Gomez
"Love Myself" - Hailee Steinfield

Ed Sheeran
Ed has worked with Christina on The Voice in the past and they were rumoured to be collaborating not long after Christina responded to Ed's cover of "Dirrty".

Drake
Christina and Drake were speculated to be working together after she attended one of his concerts.

Ali Tamposi
Ali has collaborated with Christina in the past and was rumoured to be back in the studio with her.
Writing Credits:
"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" - Kelly Clarkson
"Around the World" - Christina Aguilera
"Empty Words" - Christina Aguilera

Mark Ronson
Longtime friend and collaborator with Christina, likely where the speculation arose from.

Random tweets, quotes, artifacts and what not about the new album:

Spoiler

"I’ve been loosely working on it the last couple of years. But I really started toward the middle and end of last year (2015) to really buckle down and meet with new collaborators and producers, people I want to work with and people I have never worked with before. I can’t say much about it yet because I want to wait until it’s good and ready. I am working on it and will be ready when it can be the authentic masterpiece that it deserves to be. But later this year, most likely" - Christina Aguilera

There's more (of course there is, she's been working on this album for like three years, girl), but I'll stop here because I feel like this is already a lot. Also, this gives a general idea of what we can look forward to (I mean, a sizable amount of the producers have worked with Nicki Minaj, that says something). There's quite a few more quotes by Christina but they aren't worth including because she basically says the same thing every time, give or take a quote about empowerment. There's also some more vague tweets by a bajillion producers but they aren't worth scavenging for.

Discuss, sistrens! :green:

I can spot quite a few of her past collaborators, particularly from Back to Basics. This makes me very happy, it's constantly fighting with Stripped for my top position.
