bujibu 462
When they do that stuff I just visit my good sis Piratebay until they release it to the masses, THEN I buy it. I used my free Tidal trial on Lemonade and as soon as that expired I cancelled it and went and bought the album. I have a sub with Spotify and that's not changing anytime soon. I find more variety with indie/niche music on Spotify than I do Apple or Tidal and that's why I like it. As long as Bey and Gags keep putting on stellar concerts my card will be there to swipe; not here for this exclusive streaming platform BS. It's a trend that needs to die. Besides all the support behind Tidal was big name artists, like the good sis Marina Diamandis commented on once, and indie/smaller artists were still getting paid dust in that respect. SILENT HILL 1,715
The main thing bothering me is that its not getting views on YouTube but other than that I am just glad we have a new amazing music video that's been waaaay overdue!
StrawberryBlond 14,865
I think it's partly done to get the fans hooked, then, when it gets uploaded onto YouTube, they'll be hyped to see it again, meaning it'll get a ton of views immediately, even more than it might have had if it was put up to YouTube immediately. Basically, the fans crowd in with views when it gets a wide release, making for more views than usual. But that's aside from all the other factors like the artist getting paid money to make their content exclusive and suchlike.
