"What you and I have little monsters isn't just for a moment. It's for life".

That's one of my favorite gaga quotes of all time. I've been called every ****ing name in the book by people who just don't understand what gaga means to us. They say that my devotion is creepy. They say it's delusional. They say it's unhealthy. They say "she's just a popstar". I can't really blame them because 9 short years ago, I was one of them. I never understood our celebrity obsessed society. I rolled my eyes and judged them until a tiny Italian woman wormed her way into my heart and became my everything. Now I totally get it. Sunday was proof of how deep her love for her monsters really runs. She was there during our darkest times and we were there during her brightest times. "People always say 'oh you always talk about your fans' but how can I not? They're my reason for everything. They're the blood in my veins". Yeah she hasn't changed one ****ing bit ♥️

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

I really do think she loves us in a way that other music stars don't. She understands her fan base. She listens to us. And I think we're just so damn lucky to be alive at the same time as her and to witness her greatness unfold before us. We get to be a part of something big, even in the smallest ways. Her influence has rippled throughout the world, in our own lives especially. What we share with her really is eternal; a legacy we will leave behind, something future generations in music and fandom culture will look up to. People can laugh at the way we put it but life is too short to care about that tbh.

There's a family of ducks at the park behind my apartment. A mama duck and 6 babies. I think something happened to her bio babies and she adopted those 6 because they're all different colors. All of the babies are grown up now but mama duck still looks out for them. She still does a head count to make sure they're all, there before they head back to the nest. My daughter calls them "gaga and the little monsters" because like mama duck gaga took us in and loved us even though we shared not one bit of DNA. I still think "come to mama" is really about her role as "mama monster" and how she'll always be there to shield us from the big bad world when life just gets overwhelming.
