She said the scene with things getting chaotic in the car (them fighting, the dog, crashing, etc) was supposed to represent how reckless love can be. I get people love animals, but running over a dog is no worse than shooting someone or running over a child as suggested earlier in this thread. It's a dog, people EAT them in other countries. It made sense for the video, for the story that was trying to be told. Also, her three dogs say hello to people bitching about the video. She treats her dogs better than most PEOPLE get treated.
