Why are people acting like Gaga hasn't release disco or disco inspired music? Here are some examples of Gaga's disco:

Because we want more.

BECAUSE those are a bonus track, a cover and an album track that barely got any attention.

Because she was supposed to be working with Giorgio Moroder and Nile Rodgers for an album and got us hyped.

Some of us wanted a full album of disco / funk songs. This is what we expected LG5 would be.

Not a full disco themed album. I'm sure she'll release something of that sort eventually in her career.

And Disco Heaven isn't really disco song. It's more or less dance pop alluding to disco imagery and context.

I don't think people are really doing that.

It isn't an area she has explored that deeply, I think people would just like for her to release an actual disco flavoured album at some point in her career.

A bonus track, a cover for a fashion show and an album track isn't much.

Gaga never confirmed that she was working with any of them

IWYL and Fashion! does. Disco Heaven, eh not so much. Regardless I think her experiencing with a full length LP that explores Disco themed pop would be awesome and an excellent addition to her catalogue.

I know but Moroder said they were working on 5-6 tracks for HER album and wanted to convince her to have another one on his album (Deja Vu), she was also working with Fernando Garibay for that album, etc among other people. Even if Gaga said it herself, we know she changes her mind all the time or ends up cancelling projects.

But to me it seems like Gaga never actually worked with him and Moroder was the only one making demos for her.

I am not against that. It just seems to me like many are acting like Gaga never did anything disco inspired before. Specially after that Katy snippet was released.

Random Access Memories by Daft Punk is one of the prime examples in recent years of how to make a modern disco album into today's music scene. It even went on to win Grammy for album of the year. Joanne really surprised us all based on her work with Giorgio Moroder and Nile Rodgers (Huge names in the disco era), who both happened to collaborate on this album too.

In summary I'd love to see it. We all did really.

Who is? :oprah: I think Gaga is one of the few major pop acts where I can comfortably say she's experimented with almost every genre, so it would be bizarre to think that she hasn't attempted a disco song. And that's a great thing. But I can understand fan desire to want a full length LP with disco influence pervasing throughout the record.
