Gaga has all eyes on her now after the SB (not to mention the Grammys and Drag Race) and JW is the perfect upbeat track to release after MR. I will die if Metallica plays a metal remix. It reminds me when people in here swore in the name of satan that "Dance In The Dark", "Marry The Night", "Scheiße", or "Sexxx Dreams" would *slay the charts* (in which planet? ). This fanbase simply has no idea about what the GP taste is, and fan-favorite album tracks are usually the least appealing ones for casual listeners. Don't get me wrong: I LOVED the fact that she released "Marry The Night" as a single, and I'd have loved for her to release "Aura" or "Scheiße" as well. But it was obvious none of said tracks had any chance, charts wise. It doesn't mean those songs are bad, in fact, they're good, but they're just not appealing for the general public. Same for "John Wayne". It's a fun track, and it's a stand out song in Joanne, but the audience will not connect with it's retro-rock vibe in the slightlest, it'll tank in radio, and nobody will care about it. THAT SAID, it's her album, her song, and her single, if she decided to go for "John Wayne", I'll support her, charts aren't everything in life, and she seems to like the track a hell lot.
