Gaga and monsters accused of racism

To show an example of this from the opposite side, I am not even a fan of Beyoncé but with what little I do know and see about her just from being active in keeping up with daily world topics, I know enough examples myself to never have been so broad about Beyoncé in judgement, to claim that she is racist and doesn't care about current social issues and activism and is just a selfish popstar.  This Beyoncé fan should consider fairness in her own judgement before she makes these false and wild accusations against Lady Gaga and do the research, it's not hard to find on either celebrity's profile. Both ladies are very selfless and generous human beings, both known for caring and giving back. There should not be any competition here and it hurts even more, because these are strong and active women, great leaders for the young and learning generations.

It's just petty and disappointing.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I think it's hilarious when people want to argue over who's doing more activism/who is a more legitimate activist. Honestly, posts like this just seem like they don't care about the cause at all and are just looking for something to be up in arms about. And that gives activists, including the famous ones that you're arguing about, a bad name.

Hey, if you want to support a cause, support it. Whining about which celebrities aren't pulling their weight isn't doing ****.

While that may be true, going though her Twitter what she's saying about Gaga is absolutely untrue. Claiming she doesn't care about black LGBT? come on. She's so damn ignorant.

You mean those members commenting that BLM is trash? I was taken aback by that :wtf: They didn't read beyond the headlines and immediately made rude and accusatory remarks without knowing the full story behind the misleading title.

So Twitter monsters are like that too? Is that what this Beyhive member meant? (That'd be really disappointing tbh. My question wasn't sarcastic.)

I agree that this woman's statements are seemingly coming out of nowhere, but she's not wrong at all. If she only knew what some of us were really like and used that as evidence against us; it's Monsters like that which give us and Gaga a bad name at times. Shame that they're discretions can reflect on us as a whole :madge:

"and acknowledging us Black people when you want to is real 'activism.'"

That's exactly what beyonka does xoxo, comes and promotes feminism, black lives when it profits her and then dissappears.

Gaga ain't racist at all, some of her white gay fans tho... but I don't think that has to do anything with being a LM, in fact I think little monsters are inherently open minded and celebrate diversity.

Nothing about Gaga is racist :toofunny: And there is no point calling a whole fan base racist, that's a silly generalization.

Why is it always a competition? Both Gaga and Beyonce have done some great things for various different social movements and that is what counts.
