babs 5,093
Ok, so the superbowl was S L A Y A G E but I mean, how many other poignant things have happened that make this era as awesome as all of the others before it? everything else during Joanne has gone pretty slow so yeah, let's just wait I totally hope she keeps it up tho! RochestrMonstr 3,216
Joanne was already my favorite era so far, so that still holds up! I think she seems more like a real person and I love it. Plus it's the best music to me. (I honestly don't care if we never get another album of dance-pop). It also feels like she is more respected as a singer this era. The lack of this was something I hated so much about the previous pop eras. A lot of people dismissed her as just a pop star, but she's proven to non-fans in recent years that her vocal talent stands out. If I was obsessed with charts/hits, I assume I wouldn't like this era, but I don't care about that. I guess I'll have to wait to see the tour to be sure though, but Joanne seems pretty untouchable to me.
hausofcy 20,325
I'm Just happy that she's probably happy. The only thing I miss are her interviews on Ellen, Jimmy fallon, Jimmy kimmel etc.

This was a career triumph that transcended beyond any 'era'. It was a highlight of her entire career. I see it as Gaga being stripped from her current context (Joanne) to celebrate her entire career as a collective. I see the half time show as a piece of Gaga history - not a piece of the Joanne era. This obviously would've been the same for me had it come any earlier, too. Great point Flyin' like a 1000 Doves
Monsterish 5,520
I think SB51 was the hiatus of Joanne but, even if we consider part of the Joanne Era, Joanne is still my favorite album/Era after Born This Way, obviously
alejandreaux 1,053
imma still need to see the tour and some more singles/videos. but so far id say the ranking is 1. TFM 2. BTW 3. The Fame 4. Joanne/ARTPOP if the good sis came in with at least 2 more videos that were on POINT and kept up the hot streak she has going now, it would easily pass ARTPOP for me

YeehawKylie 7,817
Despite its failures, I genuinely enjoy the ARTPOP era. It was fun, unexpected...perhaps I love rooting for the underdog? The Fame/Fame Monster is by far my favorite. She was truly at the center of pop culture. She dictated the pop industry during that era. Born this Way and Joanne are my least favorites? The former because it's really when she started to wane on the public. And the later because we haven't really seen it all yet? She never performed Perfect Illusion live in the US. The rest have mostly been a piano ballad, which I love, but it's not the most exciting. We've really only seen the public exposed to a few songs thus far, so I'm excited for MR to rightfully make its mark, then move to a new single. VSFS is the highlight of the era thus far (I can't really call SBHTS a Joanne era claim since it was her whole catalogue). I'm excited to see the tour, I think that'll really define the era.
