OMonster 14,675
So, after Gaga's iconic set - universally acclaimed as one of the greatest performances in Super Bowl history - which artist is going to be faced with following that? Pepsi and the NFL I imagine will think more carefully than ever on this one. In their own words, Gaga's was the best since Michael's after all. They won't be wanting a major come down. No pressure to the performer. Honestly, I think there are only a few artists / bands nowadays that are iconic and superstar enough to take on such a gig. In this current; very samey; disposable era of pop music, 'icons' are not being made how they used to be. I would be most here for Maroon 5, tbh. Unlike Coldplay last year, I think they would bring great visuals... you only have to look at their videography to see that. They have great bops, too. What are your thoughts? subtext / fantasy
Red 97,985
Next performer is gonna have to skydive to top her, basically. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

The problem here though is that both are kind of faded, and unlike Gaga, do not have such a huge fan base as a relevance crutch... I would be here for Maroon 5, too. What about Ms. Grande? or Nicki Minaj? Nobody in the next few years will be able to top Gaga, thats for sure End Racism Now

AtLeastLetMeTal 92
I think a male band will probably get it - I could see Maroon 5 but if it's a pop girl it should be P!nk but it will be Taylor Swift. P!nk is a great performer though - I think her Gaga and Beyonce are the best female performers atm. She might not be able to top Gaga, but she would put on a spectacular show anyway. Mister Gaga 22,913
Shakira would slay. It would be a major cultural event.

She'd be incredible. I kind of want a band to follow up Gaga though next year, just to avoid the inevitable comparisons between her and a pop girl. subtext / fantasy
