Reworking her older songs for the next tours

I do love hearing the older songs re-orchestrated with (mostly) live instruments, like at the SB. And I agree that some work should be put in to making sure that her catalog sounds as cohesive as possible for the JWT.

Tbh I just like it when she does a breakdown or remix at the end of her songs like she's done with Poker Face and Lovegame.

Sometimes I don't even like the way the songs are primarily backed by her band as opposed to the studio track - especially for bangers like Poker Face.

I miss hearing the dance element to the song, rather than the rock and roll effect it generally takes when her band is playing over it.

I guess I just like hearing the original integrity of the songs - but something totally new could be cool, like the way Britney has her songs reimprovised for her shows.

The way she had Gimme More remixed at the Femme Fatale Tour slayed my entire existence :deadbanana:

Britney almost always slay when she has her songs remixed.

I would love her to totally remix them, but I feel like she won't. She'll probably focus on making good choreo and set pieces for her new songs this tour and stick with rock arrangements of her classics.

Yeah it's time to change them. If you look at Madonna's tours she never performs the same versions of her songs from tour to tour.

fede ARTPOP

Id love an unplugged old hits set in the tour...same as Joanne performances with guitars.

This is the exact example I wanted to give but I would have been bashed for it

Yes, she needs to Remix her hits like Madonna and Britney do. Madonna always keeps the original feeling but updating it to the sound of the actual album (Like A Virgin, Erotica, Music in the Confessions Tour and the Remixes in S&ST) or she does like in the Rebel Heart Tour where True Blue became an acoustic song and Like A Virgin was nothing like Rebel Heart

First of all: it's artRAVE (The ARTPOP Ball), not ARTPOP tour

Second: yes, I'd be here for that, but she already did that with a couple of songs. The Judas/Aura mash-up during artRAVE was everything!!

Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you

I wouldn't mind minor reworkings. Kind of like how during the Halftime show, Poker Face's chorus cut off the percussion, at least for the first half of the chorus- giving it a very modern, dramatic edge.

She did the same when she performed the studio/band version of Hair during the final BTWB dates.

That's why I dont't like live versions of songs.

They always ruin them.

Remember "evolution" of Partynauseous...

Poker Face is destroyed.

Anything that was epic in original song is ruined with real drums and really loud guitars...

you kidding. just dance's guitar break at superbowl with purple telebims was everything.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
