I'm so happy for all the love and success Gaga is receiving right now but I can't help but be turned off by the direction she's going to musically and visually. She's trying so hard to be this tomboy, beer drinking, rock/metal chick and I'm like ew. It feels more forced than natural which is why I can't get into it plus Rock/Metal was never my choice of music. I've read a lot of non-fans praise the SB performance and also note they love that Gaga, some went as far as to reference this 'fake cowgirl act' talking about Joanne. I mean... I feel she's trying to be hipster because she seemed like she was like that pre-fame, she seems to bandwagon a lot of acts and her fans follow suit. I mean by all means perform with them and what not but NOT on music's biggest award show where you can perform a song that is already gonna debut top 5 and could go #1 with that push. Other artists do it and balance it well she just seems to not find the right balance imho. I opened GGD in the morning and I was "someone's trolling for sure", then it's now everywhere! This is my dream, literally! Not only did she give us a flawless superbowl, now this She knows what her (metal) fans want! They will for sure perform a Metallica song, but which one?
