I mean, when she announced it, it came with a double whammy of an anti-Trump stance. And ever since then, she's been overly political. It's like, where has this all come from? Is coming out synonymous with becoming political? Sexual orientation can exist outside of politics, you know. It's cool that she's taking an interest, which was non existent for popstars back in the day but at the same time, she doesn't have the credibility to be really political. She's a singer in a manufactured girl group who sing frivolous pop tunes. Unless she becomes a solo artist who makes hard-hitting music about a gritty reality, it's hard to take her seriously. If she doesn't like people taking a break from reality to watch football, she must also be against the idea of people taking a break from reality by listening to a 5H album or watching a 5H live performance or going to a 5H concert. Oh, wait. She's fine with that. Either people can enjoy entertainment in a tough political time or they can't. But you can't have it both ways when it benefits you. It's also worth noting that apparently, during World War II, movie theatre attendance was at an all time high. This was back in the days when people went to the cinema several times a week too. Because even though there was a world war going on, people didn't want to be scared and hide in their homes 24/7. They still wanted to get on with life as best they could and still do all the things they loved. And that sentiment still carries on to this day and even in poor countries. Even in recessions, people still spend money excessively on things they don't really need. Even after terrorist attacks, people still fly to these places. And even when a madman's just been elected as the most powerful man in the world, people still decide to sit down with a bowl of popcorn to watch a football game.
