It became a huge female empowerment anthem & a huge club anthem/hit! It had tons of remixes to it that became bops in their own right! Egypt. But whenever a debate between Whitney vs Mariah, I always gravitate towards who is a better singer and my answer is always... Whitney. Mariah is able to manipulate runs with probably the widest range any notable singer has every graced the pop stage. But Whitney is able to emote on a single note. That is why "I'll Always Love You" is always the most difficult song to tackle on every talent show available on this planet. That's like THE song to conquer in order to show you're the best vocalist in the competition. Because Whitney made that song much more popular than it ever was. Just a perfect vocal performance.
