Yup, because these numbers definitely show that this needed to be rolled back on. Absolutely no gun issue in the U.S.

why is this happening

Because people were too ignorant or naive to understand that elections have consequences.

No matter what your view in guns is, but thinking that mentally ill ppl should have any gun they want is just stupid, you have to be mentally ill yourself to think this is a good idea

This is actually a great thing, but of course users here only read the titles and maybe a quick skim of the (usually biased) article and get the wrong impression. Seems like no one understands the reasons for this, or even the specific changes!

Please explain how limiting the restrictions from people with severe mental illnesses from buying a gun is a "great thing". Or does your absurd love for guns blind you to the reality that certain people really shouldn't have them in their possession?

Lol, at you calling articles biased when you've been bringing articles from alt right sites here for years!

The AP and CNN are reputable news sources, unlike that Brietbart junk you read and post.

No, the GOP Did Not Just Repeal the Background Check System or Give Guns to the Mentally Ill

When you saw these headlines you probably thought, “Wow, that seems extreme.” Has the House of Representatives really got rid of background checks? Are Republicans really intent upon putting firearms in the hands of the “severely mentally ill”? What fresh insanity is this!

And, given the way the headlines are written, you could be forgiven for drawing any one of those conclusions. But here’s the thing: None of them is true. Not at all.
