They're not fans of the music so much as they're fans pop culture and of what Beyonce represents to them. She really found the perfect balance in owning the strong female, mother, activist, untouchable artiste, humble housewife labels all at the same time. A lot of people are extremely obsessed with the idea of her being this infallible woman. I've noticed a lot of female bloggers are sharing silly anecdotes about how much they think about Beyonce and how much her pregnancy personally affects them. It's sometimes funny but mostly just embarrassing to read grown women shamelessly salivate over a celebrity to this degree. Maybe it's easy for these gossip columnists and tv hosts to participate in this faux over-the-top worship because it's safe to assume every woman loves Beyonce? It's like how some hetero men get together and complain about their wives because they know their friends are going to nod along and share that sentiment. "Damn, Martha won't get off my back about _________. I'm going to build a man cave". I don't even like her music and I deeply respect Beyonce. It's just how it is.
