I'm glad you're holding onto this. 7 albums , only 3 of which garnered success and acclaim, and a vocal ability that's questionable at best (I cannot with her screeching and over singing) does not add up to any legendary status. She's in the same lane as P!nk, as far as status and iconography are concerned, and some would even argue P!nk has more status and iconography in present day than Christina (and they wouldn't be wrong). In the early 2000s Christina was popular but Britney was always the pop star that everyone was interested in. No one cared that Madonna kissed Xtina. In the 2010s Xtina again got overshadowed by Lady Gaga. Christina is undeniably talented but her career has had way too many rifts and rafts for her to be considered a legend. Christina hasn't toured in 10 years and her last two performs underperformed severely. Her tour for Bionic was so low demanded that she had to cancel the entire tour and with Lotus she couldn't even tour. Her only hit single this decade ended up being a feature on a Maroon 5 song.
