Xenophobic crackdown on liberty. Awful. Of course it's going to be defended by people who either don't care about the right to freedom of expression and are easily swayed by fearful propaganda, or are simple xenophobes themselves.

You must remember this is the country where far-right Norbert Hofer won 46.4% of the popular vote.

Maybe not consciously, but no self-respecting woman would and should wear something like this. That's that.

Seriously? You don't know these women! Just stop!

This doesn't affect your life in any way. Your attitude is scarily comparable to those people not wanting to "see gay people show affection" or to see Transgendered people because their "kids will be exposed to them".

Just let people live their ****ing lives!

Why do people care if others wear this or not. If I decide to wear a shrek mask that covers my whole face is that considered ilelgal as well?

Honestly, I think it's reasonable. It isn't rooted in hatred or ignorance(definitely some people do think like that and their beliefs on this subject ARE rooted in hatred or ignorance), but why should someone have their entire face covered? Please walk into any store, and public place, with a ski mask on and see how that goes.

It doesn't make you prejudice or ignorant to think this is a reasonable thing. I wish people would stop think their opinion is so much more valid than everyone else's. All of us on GGD aren't extreme rightists or "prejudice nazi's" anyway, why go out of your way to make people feel like it?

Ban Hallowe'en! Clearly a very dangerous practice! Faces must be uncovered for 'security'!

Banning what people can wear?

Reminds me of banning hoodies in the UK.  I want to wear what I want... I can't imagine being told by law...  just weird.
