I'm sorry you've had/have to go through that. But that's not exactly religious' fault. It's a whole group of corrupted people oppressing people in ignorance and using religion to their advantage. I'm openly gay, Muslim and lived in the Middle East. It would be delusional to think that the Middle East is open arms to the LGBT but one has to think. If there are progressive Muslims who live in other parts of the world who are accepting and tolerant, etc. then no, it's more to do with the political situation than the the actual faith. You live in that region. How the hell do you not know about the neo-conservatism that crashed into the region around the 50's and 60's. Are you educated in a reputable institution, or just confused and ranting based on your own ignorance? You should know very well that majority of that hate and corruption comes from the governments themselves that use religion as a justification for their actions because the uneducated won't/can't learn otherwise. It's the same stuff that happened in Europe during WW2. I'm confused how you have such hate for others. And I'm genuinely curious about the authenticity of your statements. Muslims aren't one to generally bring up topics about sexuality very often. It's generally taboo amongst the elder crowd. How is this coming up? The reason you're getting WP on here is because you're being rude and also kinda ignorant in almost every post you're making. I think you're filled with hatred right not and as hard as it seems you need to find a way to let that hatred go, it will just make it harder for you.
