"Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.

Donald Trump's well documented misogyny and vulgarity disqualifies him from being received by Her Majesty the Queen or the Prince of Wales. Therefore during the term of his presidency Donald Trump should not be invited to the United Kingdom for an official State Visit."

------

The petition is growing at a huge rate. It's currently got nearly 1.8m signatures and must therefore be considered by parliament.

A counter-ban has been started and will also have to be discussed in parliament as it's just past the 100k mark.

A US/UK trade deal is happening as soon as we officially Brexit so I can't imagine TMay ever going against him.  She recently acknowledged his immigration stance and turned a blind eye.

The UK needs this deal so I don't know if it will do much but it's reassuring to see the British publics response.

Because the world shouldn't give in to racism and hatred. Banning him from entering is the perfect response to his outrageous plans on banning people because of who they are.

This sounds like a very brave and rebelious idea but in reality, it's just plain stupid

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

The UK government will definitely give in to racism and hatred, it would make Brexit even more difficult if they didn't. Just a shame they don't always represent the views of the people.

Yeah, it's a tricky situation.

When we voted to leave the EU a part of me knew we would be in a better position if Trump wins the election. He doesn't want Brexit to be a failure, he feels like he owns it and is an important ally.

I dislike Trump for the things he's said and some of the things he's done but you can't bite the hand that's feeding you.

Pretty much my feelings. Part of me was in favour of Trump winning solely because it will be of greater benefit to the UK. He's so supportive of Brexit and I doubt he will want to see the relationship suffer. We've traded in our Euro shackles for our Trump ones really. :oprah:
