She just doesn't seem very intelligent, sorry. After so many years living in the US, surrounded by gold and money, she had more than enough opportunities to learn, not to make such silly mistakes. Accent might be hard to get rid off, tho it is possible, but her vocabulary and grammar seem to be very poor. Give me that Yugoslavia lessons that I love OT: Even though I have to agree that her english is, lets say, not good, I don't really see why she should be insulted for it. I've listened to a couple of her interviews, and her accent is clearly Slovenian, her grammar is pretty bad, but she understand everything and she can reply with something. Is that enough for FLOTUS? Idk, I would say it's not. Is that enough for a model that married a rich guy and probably doesn't even care to learn more? Yup, more than enough.. Aren't you the hypocrite when Bernie's English bothered you, but Melania "just has a thick accent like a New Yorker or Southerner", which she doesn't. She has a thick Russian/Slavic accent like many people from the Balkans. That's why actors like Rade Šerbedžija almost always play Russians in Hollywood movies. You see he never got rid of the accent fully, but his English is miles better than Melania's. She is the Flotus, after all. And she's a college dropout.
