SlaeUrAnus 16,111
Well celebrities cannot win either way. If they protest, people boycott their projects, but if they don't, people still target them e.g. Taylor Swift. In my messy era.

ShockPop 7,747
No. The state of the earth due to the undemocratic ascention to power of an egomaniacal psychopath is bigger than a pop star's next album. Some of you hoping gaga will keep her opinions out of it have lived short lives. The powerful people of the world need to be United against this disaster. We're green day harmed by being outspoken during the bush administration? Was Jane Fonda damaged by being an activist? Yoko? You need to wake up. THIS IS NOT A TV SHOW. IF TRUMP PUSHES TOO FAR, YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL SUFFER AND DIE. You will not survive a nuclear strike. You will not survive mass terrorism. You will not survive civil war. This is real and is happening now. It is bigger than madonna and lady gaga. This is your mother and father dying from radiation, your brothers and sisters caught in a bomb blast. What are you going to do when Russia comes for Canadian oil with the full permission of Washington? You gonna put your headphones on and dance? Dorothy Gale 7,575
No, I'm disgusted that someone would think ones reputation is more important than standing up for what is right.

I hope ur not talking about me. I never said it was wrong to stand up for their rights. All I asked is it if it ruins their reputation. It was just a question. display name 4,360
I don't know. I think that most people who were offended by what Madonna said are people who either already had issues with her or weren't too familiar with her to begin with. Personally, I wasn't shocked by her statements. I think that, by now, people who support her expect her to say things like that. She always speaks her mind, and that's rubbed many people the wrong way for years. Still, the impact she's made in pop culture is undeniable, and her reputation as a pop icon won't change. She's had hits, she's had flops, and this isn't the first time she's pissed people off or painted a bad picture of the American government. What's new? Only focusing on Madonna because, of all current protesters, she's the only one I really pay attention to.

Even the democrats I spoke to agree with me on her, she ruined her reputation with that comment. She had trouble with the Rebel Heart Tour selling our arenas, I went to it, I expect her next tour to be even lower What did she say? Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
