If DWUW was the lead with a good MV not that hot mess, it would've done better than Applause

Marry the night and The edge of glory. Those 2 remind me so much of Whitney and Springsteen, back in the 80's she would have smashed with these 2. Epic music. :diane:

Venus all the way.

I will always believe Venus should have been the lead single from ARTPOP (although it's possible Venus wasn't even done yet in August 2013). Applause and Venus are equally "weird" songs but Venus's chrorus puts it miles ahead.

For GP purposes, I also think it would have been more relatable than Applause. Many people can relate to a song questioning about love. I would imagine less people are able  relate to "living for the applause".

I mainly stopped following the charts after Judas, but I do remember Applause was able to get a decent amount of time in the top 10 on the hot 100. I think Venus could have done even better!

Obviously it's impossible to say for sure though. Its really easy to look back and say "well you should have done it like this instead..."

The Edge of Glory should have been as huge as Bad Romance seriously.

Scheibe deserved to be a nice hit ala Applause

BORN THIS WAY should have had 7 singles each success, for real
