You're asking too many intelligent questions.

We are in the age of alternative facts and none of this matters.

All that matters is that we upset liberals

Fixed

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

I just want to add that as soon as the Super Bowl is over, I really hope Gaga goes into full-on activist mode and eventually releases her American Life/American Idiot/Born This Way 2.0 album as a response to this administration.

Jesus no! Do you want to kill her career stone dead? Madonna has NEVER recovered in the US from AL. Plus the lead single made PI seem like the second coming of Jesus.

I'd rather her kill her career doing what is right then to never be as active as she was during the weeks prior to the Election. Maybe before last week, I would've agreed with you, but we need all that we can do to just end this utter corruption of America. Like, it shouldn't be this way, but the current reality calls for a greater voice that many of us don't have and won't be able to have in our lifetimes. The voice of the collective can only do so much without the help of celebrities and well renowned individuals in this country

Eh, Trump has a helluva lot more opposition to his administration than Bush did. Also, part of the reason for Madonna's post-AL career trajectory has been ageism.

I honestly don't think celebrities are helping at all. Personally, I think they are causing resentment and entrenching people's views. The public hates being patronised and dictated to by actors and singers, no matter which side of the fence you fall.

Plus I want another album of Bops. All Gaga would be doing at this stage is preaching to the converted.

Hmmm In the last ten years yes. Around AL no. Madonna came off a hot album which was Music at the Time. There was anticipation for that album. Al and the video ****ed her hard. Even Hung Up could only manage no 7 in the US when it was literally no 1 EVERYWHERE else in the world.

True with what you've said, but at the same time the more patronized and disenfranchised are the ones whose voice is going unheard, especially now in this new political climate. I also don't think Gaga will get a bunch of slack, but she doesn't have the popularity now that she once did where she could've been more vocal by herself without any help. Gaga needs to be supported by other celebrities nowadays to get her points across and heard, which is kind of sad

Honestly, if we want to see considerable change in this country and if Trump remains "president" erstwhile, I think the best thing people and celebrities can do is boycott their respective industries. Additionally, if Trump and his administrations come after unions, that's going to be the last straw for most people. Unions had so much power in the past, and they still do, just that they haven't realized that power in a long time. Social media helps as well, but it can only do so much
