um actually EDM was not THAT trendy in 2013. It was in 2016 and now in 2017 :trollga:

EDM has been trendy since literally 2009, if not earlier. Black eyed pea's  2009 Smash "boom boom pow" mean anything to you? I feel EDM is that music genre that's been on trend for close to a decade (not to mention it's been "around" since the 80s), yet people still act like it's new. Wasn't Justin's FUTURE SEX album from 2006 EDM?

Not bad sales at all :golfclap: Streaming needs some work though.

So it's doing fine and some people still need to complain and call it a flop.

I thought it's been clear for like five years now that she's not going to repeat the numbers of her early albums. Some people act like Joanne is stuck at 100k though.

True but it was not a major genre that dominated the charts until 2015-2016

OMG GUYS THIS IS GOOD!

especially with zero hits. She's outpacing ANTI

But at this point Anti gave away over 1 Million copies and sold 350k. Thats 1.3 Million people who have and enjoy ANTI. and the best streaming numbers of all female artists. Give me a break. Lol

It means her fan base is way bigger and loyal than other artists but she's still weak with the GP (streams).

Sia and Ariana are bigger than her.

Sia deserves it though...

Ik, it's just so sad to see how much she's declined, cuz I want her to have all the success that she had before.

How has she declined when the whole industry is being affected? She's one of the best selling female artists in the industry and the reason why Born This Way or The Fame or even ARTPOP had bigger numbers is because sales are declining in general.

No. It's 1m people who got something simply because it's free.

Let's not sugar coat it. She would never have sold those million.

Why is it not certified? :grr:

Even ARTPOP is not certified! I dunno how it works. Do the artist have to apply to RIAA after fulfilling certification criteria? How is Joanne getting certified in other countries though? :oprah:

The thing is, sales aren't defining popularity or charts anymore. Sure, these are abnormally large for today's era, but she's very lacking in the actual key areas (streams).

She needs to build a streaming legacy if she wants to continue her "creativity" bubble. Otherwise, she's going to have to give up that Malibu mansion.
