TSUNAMI 20,935
Because she's the first popstar I was introduced to. Because she's been through so much and so many people spat on her while she was always a kind figure. She grew up under the spotlight which is extremely hard - Imagine being #1 popstar WORLDWIDE. All eyes on you. She's still doing what she loves. And gifs. Britney is Britney. Her impact is undeniable but I just can't denie I feel something warm when I hear her song or watch her videos. It makes me go back to my childhood. Love ya, Brit.

I kinda get sad when I think of what she had to go through within this poisonous business. I mean, she made a video with a Tinashé and she didn't even know her name... But you're right, let's not talk about the bad. She deserves the world.

Diamond Heart 4,400
I do have respect for Britney when it comes to fame. She was treated HORRIBLY during her breakdown, like looking back on how the paps and tabloids treated her, its far too cruel. Someone is having a mental breakdown, lets antagonize her and keep pushing her so we can get good pictures and make money!!!! Disgusting. She came back from that, so i have respect for her. It happens to everyone. hELXIG 42,954
She's sort of the first of her kind in a way. Young girl, taken advantage of, sexualised too early, not control over her life, total spiral. It's like she was the experimental child of the pop industry where anything was allowed to go. And from her, we all learned some really big lessons about how to treat people and how far a human can be pushed, both the GP and the music industry. But she fought through a very public mental breakdown, at a period in time where there was no social conscience regarding celebrities. She was just entertainment for people to laugh at and gossip about. But she got through it all, got healthy, and built a new life from scratch. I don't blame her for lip syncing after all of that. She grew up with no normal life skills. You couldn't expect her to do anything different for a living. It's also unrealistic to expect her to lead a normal life after having no experience in that world. And she probably has a real disdain for the music industry and doesn't want to write music any more. She might not have any vocal talent left at this point in time either after everything she went through. So we should let her be content in doing what she does. And in doing that, she still sells out night after night at her Vegas residency. Because people want to see the icon, the legend, the girl who almost became a martyr to fame and the media. Britney Spears! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
