When everyones like "Impeach Trump" its like okay whose more severe to social issues (which is a main argument) Trump or Pence?

Pence.

Both, but Trump is a thin skinned child with a massive ego and temper. I would rather have Pence with the nuclear codes in his pocket.

Then Paul Ryan becomes president I think :poot:

Honestly, I don't dislike Paul Ryan as much as do Trump and Pence. I actually like him more than Bush, even though they are all heavily problematic. But Trump's nominated Cabinet is a mess in itself. There really is no escape unless we successfully impeach Trump, Pence, and president pro tempore because Paul Ryan is the lesser of four evils :saladga:

God, what has this country even come to when you actually don't have a decent enough faith in your federal politicians that you would want to see their absolute ruin. Like, Bush would be less feared, holy God :saladga:

EDIT: Never mind, forgot president pro tempore comes after Speaker of the House. Either way, still very problematic

She has to hold some sort of office first

The line of succession goes like this:

  Hide contents

Vice President
Speaker of the House of Representatives
President pro tempore of the US Senate
Secretary of State
Secretary of the Treasury
Secretary of Defense
Attorney General
Secretary of the Interior
Secretary of Agriculture
Secretary of Commerce
Secretary of Labor
Secretary of Health and Human Services
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
Secretary of Transportation
Secretary of Energy
Secretary of Education
Secretary of Veterans Affairs
Secretary of Homeland Security

And then after that I'm not sure what happens :duck:

I think we start going through the house or the senate.

Yeah, this is my logic. Socially, Pence is worse but with progressives and moderates making up a strong majority in the U.S., the LGBT+ community being stronger than ever, and racial awareness being at a new height, I'm not worried about what Pence could do. Worst case scenario, we lose certain rights (mostly protections against discrimination on a small-ish scale) and women's health care becomes harder to access. Then our next president, hopefully a progressive, fixes it with overwhelming support from the populace after the sh*t they just lived through :laughga:

With other issues, such as the economy, ecosystem, and education...well, we're screwed regardless of which one's in office. But yes, Pence is far more level headed and more appropriate. At least he won't start a nuclear war over a Tweet at 3AM or something :spin:

So what you're saying is...Bernie could be president

I don't like Paul Ryan mostly for two things:

1) he wants to totally repeal the ACA which would strip me of my insurance and 2) he wants to slash social security benefits in half and up the age to 75. That'd strip my grandparents and myself of our main source of income until I can get a better job. And Even then, I can't support three adults, all with medical issues and no insurance :spin:

Especially not if Trump gets his way first and NASA's budget is cut. Our area relies on the tourism and jobs that the space center creates. Ending the shuttle program hurt my town to the point that stores were closing all over. If NASA took a blow like that, we'd have no choice but to leave :rip:

Sis  Let me pray for you.

Also, Paul Ryan is uncomfortably attractive to me, but hes one of the most spineless, integrity lacking Republicans in a long time to me... This entire election cycle was him like "But, we're Conservatives, we aren't evil!" and then immediately "Just kidding, I really want to win :poot:"

He's a total rat with no sense of loyalty :rip:

I mean, just in relation to Trump he went from being his best friend to snaking him and telling other Republicans to distance themselves from his problematic rhetoric. Then he's Trump's biggest fan after the election :laughga:

It's people like him that give conservatives a bad name. They take it from simply being a difference in opinion to being some of the most slimy, untrustworthy, selfish, greedy, and underhanded people who'd step on any and everyone to get themselves to the top :madge:

Or a hound dog. :giggle:

I guess that makes sense. I think pence would do more harm though. Trump may not seem like it but he is trying to help in certain ways and most people wanted a change from the average government employee. With pence you don't get the change u just get the harshness.

With Pence, you are more likely to avoid WW3. I would rather have harshness over a war, one that very well may pit us against our longtime allies. Pence has a son in the military. He understands the risks and consequences of war, at least.

Trump won't cause WW3 (like be the main reason if it does happen). I think he'd help in that sense though, since we are already dealing with WW crisis's. Like it sucks but its kind of true. I honestly don't like Pence because of how strong he is with his religious values. Something about the factor of a president i don't like is trying to push your religious beliefs on to others. I respect opinions, but to me saying its out of religion is really not okay when there are so many. Like theirs no factual reason by saying "according to __", etc. rather than something more fact based. (He probably uses facts he's super smart i honestly am just bias w him)

Trump seems to not favor things, but understands them to an extent. Like he understands gay marriage, rights, etc. Even though he's pro life and isn't for a lot he does understand that what something like Planned Parenthood has done to help people. Do you know what i mean?

Trump is a buffoon, who cares about himself and his money, and little else.

No, I don't know what you mean, because you are as wish washy as Trump is in your statements. Trump is pushing forth proposals to eliminate all funding to Planned Parenthood. Nothing about that is "understanding the good that it does". He is going to appoint a judge that will help repeal Roe vs Wade- his words. If Gay marriage or LBGT rights being reversed or turned back to the states (and everyone should know what that will mean) is a byproduct of the judges he appoints, he won't care! That will not matter to his loyal supporters and it won't impact his wealth, so he doesn't give a ****!

Well i was saying he tweeted or said that he understood it helped people but that he didn't believe in it because he's pro choice. So, yeah kind of a messy thing to say on my part but i was just saying that he astleast said it.
Also, i'm trying to be positive about our president because he is officially in office trying to help our country. We'll see what he's able to help, and what he won't.
