Are you trying to insinuate that the protestors at the Trump rallies deserved to get punched because they had the audacity to protest the dear leader? Did you consider that maybe those that organised and attended the DeploraBall (that was clouded in controversy over infighting by actual neo-nazis and white supremicists and that was attended by such nationalists) may have actually said some things, and represented some things that actually, genuinely does incite hatred or violence? I mean really... You don't think the offensive words of Donald Trump and his constant twitter rants could be seen as 'fighting words'? Here is the thing, I'm against those who threw the plastic bottles - it was immature. Although the fire didn't hurt anyone and they didn't actually commit arson on cars, public buildings or shops - I don't like the fire. I'm also against people f*cking punching others when they are protesting a presidential candidate... Hillary and Bernie got interrupted by protesters, many of them BLM protesters. That side didn't respond with the violence you see at those Trump rallies. It's dispicable and it's shocking that you would brush it off and excuse it so casually. It is about citizens engaging in the political process on an ongoing basis through dialogue, lobbying, petitioning for change, and in protests with other citizens who have the same concerns. Protests are healthy, as they unite people and give frustrated citizens an outlet and a voice. Protests are symptoms of some underlying problems, not the problem itself. Protests can and do bring about changes! Another key component of a mature democracy is the active involvement of the citizens. You should be thankful that you live in one!
