In case you were thinking of going to see 'A Dog's Purpose', DO NOT.

The movie looked cute and seemed to have a good story, but now this new video ruins all of that.

The dog is forced against his will to go in the water and then ends up going under water because of the pressure of the flow of it. Disgusting.

I thought this got debunked.

How can this get debunked? There's a video, the director tweeted about it and the studios published an apology  :emma:

Clever editing of two clips together to cause a reaction

This doesn't debunk the story, it only justifies it.

The dog was forced and we all saw it. The dog didn't want to get in the water and the trainer still dragged him into the water. Then the dog had trouble staying afloat and was slammed against the wall by the water.

It's ridiculous they say "the dog wasn't forced to film". Dogs don't talk, how can they say he wanted to film?

How does it justify it...

"Hercules did not want to perform the stunt portrayed on the tape so the Amblin production team did not proceed with filming that shot."

"We're told the director called for a break in shooting and when they resumed ... Hercules was fine with doing the scene, and was NOT thrown into the water."

Not to justify any forcing of the dog to do anything. But I don't think we should villify everyone on the set and boycott the movie without proper information and just watching two clips edited together to look like abuse.

The bolder part is what is ridiculous about the whole thing.

"Hercules was fine with doing the scene"

Who is the dog whisperer that asked the dog to sign a contract saying he was fine with being thrown to the water?

Stunt animals are not actors. They didn't agree to be actors. They were raised and forced to be stunt animals.

That's going into ethics of training stunt dogs and I'm not getting into that lol.

He was already trained to do the stunt, though he might have been seen reluctant to do so in the clip, the dog was able to do it afterwards.
