Sure. She can absolutely do what she likes but this album is clearly not to a lot of people's taste as we can see with its performance. And the flop singles. She needs those GP dollars if she wants to have a long career and remain somewhat relevant. She can't ride the wave of her first 3 albums forever. This album was a risk that didn't pay off so back to pop next please. At the end of the day we all want the person we stan for to be popular and at the top.

sales=more albums=big shows=long career.

:bye:

Erm, the only ones complaining are the fans, the GP likes it

And it's doing good, she's not going to sell 1m copies the first week never again, so people should get used to it, the era is going good and the album is doing good on sales, so it did pay off

From Wikipedia: Dallas Davidson is an American country music singer and songwriter; Brian Kennedy is an Irish songwriter.

Joanne was not country music. Believe me, I am from the south and I know country music.

Exactly I'm from Texas and the only song that could pass for country or be played on the country radio is Sinners Prayer

May I Read You? 😎

Sorry, but it's about what you create not who you work with

For JOANNE, she worked with the two guys who created two of the biggest hits of the past couple of years (Sorry and Uptown Funk), but she had 0 hits

This. Gaga oculd work with Max Martin and still produce something so random which is both a curse and a blessing. It paid off with past collaboratores but sort of fell flat with recent ones but it's ok.

I'm sorry guys.. Im her biggest fan.. ı love her.. but. She ıs over.. she's can not show effect for long time. And can not sell ..We should accept this

I agree and disagree.

I agree because if she does not have a song that can send her into the streaming era she will eventually be left behind..and this could happen relatively soon (by her next pop album).

I disagree though because Joanne (album) is selling pretty good! She still has some steam and traction. If her next album has no hit then we can call it a day for Gaga 110% in terms of success.

Guys I wouldn't meltdown yet. Remember Mark Ronson and BloodPop are known for funky and poppy music. Joanne ended up as an country-rock-influenced album.

Maybe the music with Davidson and Kennedy will go in a Hip-Hop/RnB or Tropical house direction. With Gaga you never know the outcome.....

:ladyhaha:

you and I both know that is not happening:ladyhaha:

cant someone just throw her into a studio with modern day music producers and poision these country things

i thought this was just a phase for one album

LMAO.

she could work with big hit makers and it still won't secure her a hit because she likes to take control of even other producers work with her. Gaga is very hands on...for better or for worse.

C) This guy has produced POP songs before like Rihanna's "Disturbia"

D) People saying they will 'unstan Gaga if she does more country' are being a little dramatic. Gaga very rarely goes ENTIRELY into one genre. And even when she does, it's only temporary. Do you really think she is going to suddenly become a country star PERMANENTLY?

The problem with these two points.

c) Highly doubt there will be anything close to being similar to Disturbia in A Star Is Born Soundtrack. Have you seen the original? It has more adult contemporary type music.

D) Had Gaga been the type of artist to release albums every year or two I think ppl would not meltdown as much because they could wait for her next album and era patiently and just wait for an incarnation they prefer but Gaga takes a lot of time (for the most part). 2008/2009 TF(M), 2011 BTW, 2013 AP, 2016 Joanne, LG6? (probably 2019/2020)

(C2C does not count because it is a covers album with no new original material.)

I hope she realizes no one cares about country music and gets scrapped

Not when country music is one of the genres with the biggest album sales now along with Urban music and Gaga is 100% NOT going the urban route...we saw the devastation that was Jewels and Drugs...she is better suited for country I guess. But I see what you mean sis. I am all here for Joanne but another grass routes type of album is just so discouraging for me right now. Especially since she does not pair interesting visuals to it. If she had at least done beautiful visuals for the era I think i'd be more open to a country tinged record next.

DIC is 100% Indian influenced. Not latin at all. A lot of critics have that misconception because they are not well versed in exotic eastern music.

it's probably a re-release with 3 or 4 new songs that they think are catchy.

This would be a good idea.

Love her so much but I'm seriously gonna be so disappointed if she releases more country music.

please just give us pop:giveup: whatever happened to the girl who loved NYC and all it's artistry? Where is Candy Warhol and Jo Calderone? Please god don't let her give us country.

I know what you mean sis...it seems like everything has changed and that there is no going back.

At least for me the music in Joanne is enough to keep me going but for a lot of you who are underwhelmed with the era and visuals I can only imagine how you guys are feeling. I don't even know how or why you guys are still holding on as fans lol it's pretty impressive that you guys are though.

I don't blame any of you having a meltdown. At this point, this is just embarrassing.

An incredible artist of her level to pull this sort of sh*t because of a never ending pitty party and unprofessional work environment (putting friendship before work). Girl...

the GP I know don't know the album or are yet to hear it.

50% of the monsters are complaining the others are fine with it

but the GP is not really into Gaga this era, and you can confirm that by her streaming numbers and singles performances

Monsters are the ones buying albums, regular people is more about streams

I'm excited for kennedy because Fire Bomb + Distrubia are great

Obviusly some of the GP do know about it, but it's just simply not cool to like Gaga like it is to like Beyonce or The Weeknd

P!nk and Demi and both done country features recently, and it seemed to go pretty well. I heard the songs they were in all the time at my old job (the radio station there played only country).
