DiscoHeaven23 35,007
6 YEARS AGO THE FEMME FATALE ERA BEGAN The lead single, "Hold It Against Me", to Britney's 7th studio album came out 6 YEARS AGO (January 11, 2011) I vividly remember the premiere of this on the radio and thinking how different it sounded for Britney. I thought it was so electronic. It became Britney's 4th #1 song. While the song debuted well and held its own for a few weeks, it actually starting dropping off the charts pretty fast. But they also released "Till the World Ends" less than two months after dropping this song, so that could be an explanation. Nonetheless, I love this song. Happy 6 years! Hold It Against Me (2011) *5 weeks in Top 10* 1st Week: #1 - PEAK POSITION 2nd Week: #6 3rd Week: #8 4th Week: #10 5th Week: #10 6th Week: #11 7th Week: #12 8th Week: #16 9th Week: #30 10th Week: #43 11th Week: #52 12th Week: #75 13th Week: #59 14th Week: #66 15th Week: #76 16th Week: #88 17th Week: #100 (knocked out)

Mister Gaga 22,924
Singles wise, she slayed this era. 3 Top 10 singles, HIAM debuted at #1, IWG reached #1 on Pop, TTWE became one of her signature hits, the album was full of bops...she received the Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs...such a slayage. I can't believe it was 6 years ago.
Alien Tulip 12,428
The Hold It Against Me video still kinda creeps me out especially the part where her smile is so distorted. Femme Fatale is a good pop album and had hit singles but Britney herself was miserable that era. She was just depressed and was very sedated on anti depressants and anxiety medication. Even during music videos like Til The World Ends and I Wanna Go she looks so tired and sedated. Overall though the era had great music videos, songs and hits. I also loved that one time where she looked exactly like Primeney

I can't believe it was 6 years ago. Ur post says it all. While I like Femme Fatale the album, its clearly not one of her best critically. But that era SLAYED commercially. "Till The World Ends" ended up being her biggest hit from that album and I remember critics saying it was her best since Toxic. Of her Top 10 Biggest hits according to Billboard, three of them were from the Femme Fatale era. That's amazing! #5 - Till the World Ends #7 - I Wanna Go #8 - Hold It Against Me I Wanna Go became one of her biggest hits on Pop Radio, being the 13th most played song on that format for the year of 2011. It actually beat out "Till the World Ends" (#16 that year) and "Hold It Against Me (#40 that year). I mean, not to compare (but yes to compare), Britney had two bigger hits on Pop Radio that year than any of Gaga's.

Lucas 27,091
I can't believe it's the era that made me a stan. I watched the Femme Fatale Tour one day when I was super bored, I never listened voluntary to Britney music before. I loved Up N' Down from the show and just fell in love with the Femme Fatale album... And then I discovered her whole discography that I entirely love except some songs from BOMT, Oops! and Britney Jean. It really destroyed that image that I had of Britney. That she was a rude slutt* b*tch having orgi*s 24/7, because that's how she was protrayed. I discovered a cute humble girl who had a dream and who went through hard times and whose personnality was obviously altered by these hard times... Learn to know the real Britney and you'll love her as much as I do Hold It Against Me, Til The World Ends, He About To Lose Me and Up N' Down are some of her best songs ♥ This album is full of BOPS
