Delulu Rogers 7,449
Gaga's 2013 moment was much more than just katy releasimg at the same time. Bruno would need the next singles to flop, recieve backlash from the public, have a breakdown, have messy promo and mv, split with his team and make empty promises to fans. He hasn't done any of that, he's doing just fine
Lucas 27,359
Great, I'm still not over how Uptown Funk was overplayed absolutely everywhere, not hearing Bruno for a while will be fine
Alien Tulip 12,428
It almost feels like he's invisible. I'm not sure how he is doing on the charts since I don't follow that stuff but if he sold a lot of albums then it's quite bizarre how he's barely talked about now. It almost feels like he's invisible. People are talking about The Weeknd but not Bruno Mars.

You sure girl? I've literally never heard it on the radio here.
wahkeenasitka 1,995
And! Bruno is tiny too! Not as tiny as Gaga, but quite small.
JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Gaga didn't flop to just Katy. She flopped to both Katy and Miley two of the three songs that stood in the way from Applause reaching #1 and that was after her performance in the MTV awards with the video debut. This is not even on that scale. 24k was released with Closer 2017's biggest hit and Black Beatles with a viral video. 13 weeks later 24 K is still top 5. The difference is I streaming and we know The Weekend is the king of streaming. 24k is Bruno's first big streaming solo hit. Where Katu was destroying Gaga on all platforms Streaming, Sales and Radio. The Weeknd is a ahead of Bruno on sales but only of his single because Bruno's album is still doing better and Starboy is only behind 24k by less than 200k downloads and considering 24k is currently outselling Starboy, Bruno will close that gap. There was a diffence in radio peak of only about 8 Million AI. The only format he is destroying Starboy is streaming. Bruno needs to build his streaming audience. HausOfMiklaus 1,803
And yet where is the ridiculous misogynistic feud that the media cooked up and that the fans consumed and nearly backfired on both artists?! Smdh.
Alphaz 7,958
The only good song from his album is Versace, on the other hand The Weeknd has bops after bops
SamJ 8,008
24K Magic is on the radio so much here. It's one of the biggest songs of 2016 for sure its sold way more than applause here and applause didn't get on the radio here at all. I'd say this is bruno's peak in the UK I've never heard him on the radio so much ever or talked about as much really.
RadioIsOurs 13,876
6 hours ago, Ray of Light said: Kind of... but not really; simply because he was never as big as Gaga to begin with -- so his fall isn't as noticeable. He was never the media's darling, nor polarizing like Gaga once was. Not to mention, he's a male and the media isn't reporting his under performance the way they played out ARTPOP to be a flop of Nelly Furtado proportions. IMO I don't think that has to do with gender at all. It's about the situation itself, like you've also said. Gaga was rivalling many female popstars at that moment, and so the media was ready to pounce on them once of them failed. I'm sure if in the early 2000s some male pop star of MJ proportions is rivaling him, the media would cut in further into Invincible's flopping...
