It's like....why does Gaga expect to be respected when she dressed like a slut for the first 5 years of her carreer? At least, that's how celebrities view it. But she really needs to start being more consistent with her message. You can't say a speech like that and then go back on it. You can't try to be a role model one minute and then go back to your old ways the next. She has a lot of young fans who she's sending mixed messages to by doing this. No one would hold her to a certain standard if she hadn't set it for herself. It's pretty much the way of things that if you know you're going to do stuff that isn't always appropriate for a young audience, don't market yourself as a role model. That way, you can simply say that's never what you claimed to be if anyone says you're being inappropriate. But actively wanting to be a role model followed by being inappropriate? Gaga didn't claim to stand for something and then immediately do the opposite 2 months later. Timing is a major part in calling out someone for these things.
