She actually deserved AOTY. 1989 was a smash and pure pop perfection. She may be a snake but ha music deserved it that year. 

Also Justin deserves his nomination. Purpose was actually really good. It doesn't stand a chance against the other albums in the category but it deserves to be there.

The Chainsmokers got nominated for:

Best New Artist: which they truly deserved because their song has been on (and is still on) the charts for so many weeks I can't count anymore. They may be trash and one hit wonders but they were the most successful new artists of this year.

Best Pop Duo: idk if the **** song Closer deserved this but the commercial Grammys probably nominated it because it smashed. Looking at the other songs in this category, it deserves it (WORK is nomniated  ) 

Best Dance Recording: Well deserved for "Don't Let Me Down" given that it was a hit in the Dance/ Club Charts and was played at every single club every night since its release (exaggerating ofc) but this one stands a chance at winning tbh. 

All in all, think about things from an unbiased perspective. We judge artists too much on their personalities and not their art. #StopTheDramaStartTheMusic was a campaign by Gaga that was needed and is still needed because we truly need to cut the bullshit and start the Goddamn music because that's what its all about.

I think it is very likely she will get a nomination for best pop album.  I mean Demi got one for Confident, so hopefully Joanne can slip in there. 

The other categories depend on single performances. If Million Reasons becomes a smallish hit I can see it being up for best pop vocal song.

(Totally unbiased opinion but Diamond Heart is imo the only contender from the entire album for Pop Vocal Performance - if released as a single)

The only true category that Joanne is highly likely to get dominated in is Pop Vocal Album.

But we must remember that there is an entire year of music ahead with releases from Grammy hoarder Taylor and others such as Lorde, KP, ED SHEERAN, I even heard Sam Smith is coming. So this year is a tuff year. Joanne needs to stay relevant by September to get a nomination or else all the others will easily outshine it. 

After the superbowl, she's done with this album. It's the tour plus the movie.
