He abused their trust and invaded a country, first Georgia and then Ukraine. That's what he does when you give him an inch - he abuses it. That's because Putin is an opportunistic nutjob who needs a strong US president who knows his (her) **** and who knows when to say yes or no. Russia's interests and the US' interests are opposites. Russia does not care about terrorism. They only want to protect the Syrian regime. It's mostly good PR. Russia is "protecting" the Syrian regime for a reason, to not make the same mistake of Bush with the Iraq war, and destabilizing the middle east further would be detrimental to this country and the whole world once again. Countries need to worry about their own political regimes, and not force democracy into others, even if it's the "right" thing for them. Syrian people have to fight against their president to get him out, because other countries don't do it properly, it's always a mess and that country already suffering so much. No. He's not a damn blank slate. He's been campaigning for a year and a half, and he was famous for decades before that. Anyone who's been paying attention already knows what he's about. Many of his campaign promises are horrifying, and we can only hope that he won't be able to keep them. But even if, for some inexplicable reason, we ignored all that, and judged him solely on what he's done since the election -- it's still horrifying. That includes especially his cabinet nominees, but also his general behavior (which hasn't changed).

He is the President Elect. The way he uses his position of power now effects our country. The individuals he has chosen to make up his cabinet, his handling of Russia's involvement in our election, his financial interests, his "unpresidented" twitter war with China, Mexico, and Merly Streep, and his reiterate support of creating a Muslim registry are issues we can "approve or disprove" of right now, without having to wait until he is seated comfortably in the oval office.
