I respectfully disagree.

Well I mean you can disagree all you want but it is fact. There is barely ANY current tropical sound on DIC. Infact it has a twinge of it, nothing more nothing less. And actually has a chorus pre chorus and proper structure unlike anything in 2015-2016.

If All You Ever Do Is Look Down On People, You Won't Be Able To Recognize Your Own Weaknesses.

Y'all do realize that Dancin' in Circles is pretty much in the same vein of the trends some of y'all oppose?

But I do agree.

What exactly is Tropical House

Tropical House generally uses a light synth beat and creates a uplifting, dance-y sound. Listen to the first couple seconds of these to get an idea.

Dancing In Circles was probably inspired by Tropical House somewhat, however the instruental is different enough, as it uses organic instruments. not synths. But the beat and drum style is somewhat tropical-house inspired.

Are you guys insane?

Rihanna, Ariana, Beyonce, Gaga The Weekend and Kanye all had new, innovative, and bootable albums.

If anything, Tropical House was 2015 with Bieber. :excuseu:

TBH

Plus I liked most of the songs he listed :koons:

I cant stand this constant hate against anything mainstream :crossed:

Then came Closer which was number 1 forever, GOD KNOWS WHY

It was because they milked all the publicity they got for trashing Gaga and PI. :green:

It's not so much the "tropical house" thing that makes me dislike Let Me Love You, it's that it sounds almost exactly the same as Lean On. Could DJ Snake try to be more original?

Also, OP, next time, don't link the music videos. We don't need to be contributing to the 100M views a month that every artist that's not Gaga gets nowadays. :classy:

I like Cheap Thrills, including the Sean Paul version. I also like The Greatest, but I prefer it without Kendrick. Thankfully, I found a solo version and put it on my phone.

I like how Kendrick keeps featuring in pop songs but most radio stations just cut his part out. Bad Blood, The Greatest, and now Don't Wanna Know... :ladyhaha:

I am sick of how much EDM and "tropical house" music is taking over radio so much. Even Adult Contemporary is now playing The Chainsmokers and Major Lazer. A few years ago, those artists and their kind of music on such a format was unheard of. My AC station plays Closer and Cold Water every single day and they still haven't added Million Reasons. :crossed: They did add PI when it was new but they dropped it after a couple of weeks.

I honestly want people to fight me.

Cheap Thrills is probably the song I hate the most out of everything I've heard this year. The stupid children chanting in the background saying "Cheap Thrills," was one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard, and it's just not a good song. Then we have all of Bieber's songs, whose singles all sounded the same, to blame for starting this horrendous trend. Then came Closer which was number 1 forever, GOD KNOWS WHY. ****ing 21 Pilots comes around with their two singles which didn't follow the tropical sound, but sounded the exact same and were two of the most boring songs I've ever heard. Ed Sheeran also comes around with an incredibly forgettable song. I've listened to it 4 times and I honestly still couldn't play it back to you in my head. So boring and so generic. This year had great albums, no denying that, but the chart toppers were the worst I've seen in awhile.

Here's a list of all the songs I hated this year in case you care. I've never had a list this long:

-Closer

-Stressed Out

-Don't Let Me Down

-Cheap Thrills

-Work From Home

-Love Yourself

-Sorry

-Cake By The Ocean

-Cant Stop The Feeling

-Ride

-Treat You Better

-Same Old Love

-What Do You Mean

-Cold Water

-Me, Myself, and I

-On My Mind

-I Don't Wanna Know

-Side to Side

-Let Me Love You

-The Greatest

-Love Me Now

-Black Beatles

Among others.

I'm not just saying this because it's a Gaga site but I REALLY wish Perfect Illusion got picked up. The trend needs to die, and I'd be here for a rock-ish trend.

Wow you are very hateful person :poot:

I need RedOne's big comeback with club anthems!

I like quite a few of those songs. I understand the frustration though when some acts just try to grab a hit, a good example is Maroon 5; the ultimate sell outs.

Im not saying 2016 was a bad year for music.

It kinda was though, especially charwise - all the worst songs charted high and got played on radio.
