I believe Kesha when she says she's bi, I believe Miley's statements on her sexuality as well. The others I'm not so sure but that's partly because I don't follow them as much. Bisexuality encompasses a lot of things and bisexual people express it in different ways. Some people might like having sex with one gender more than the other, but maybe see themselves being in a romantic relationship with both. Or maybe they legit like having sex with both AND romantic relationships with both. It's more complex that just our binary way of thinking about it, especially if you wanna throw pansexuality into it. One of my friends considers herself pansexual, and 90% of her romantic relationships and sexual encounters have been with men until she started dating her girlfriend, who is bisexual. But she never stopped being attracted to women even while with men (P-p-p-p-Poker Face, p-p-Poker Face, muh muh muh muh). Maybe Kesha, Nicki, Jessie, etc. have experimented with or currently experiment with women and consider themselves bisexual because those experiences were/are positive. But that doesn't necessarily mean they'd be interested in being with them romantically. And that's okay. Not everyone is like my friend I mentioned who has been with men and women romantically and sexually. People express sexuality differently. This raises some questions tho in terms of entertainers who publicly state their sexuality: When someone, say like Kesha for example, says "I'm bisexual" is she obligated in the public eye to prove that? And if she were to only sing about men and date men but never date a man or put out a song or a video about her with a woman, does that discredit her own claims on her own identity? It wouldn't surprise me if some people were pretending just to get attention back in 09/10/11 just because Gaga was on top at that point and she was open about it, because I'm sure we all remember that weird time period when everyone knew Gaga was the top b!tch and started trying to be weird like her ("Not Myself Tonight" teas + the first half of Nicki's career teas ). I don't remember her ever expressing her romantic love for another woman, it has only been sexual. That's separates me from determining true bisexuals than those club girls that label themselves as bisexuals just because one night they happened to kiss one or two girls. We can agree to disagree. Because some gays are trying their darndest to prove that she's lying. It's tiring defending yourself continuously over and over again, especially when you have to defend your identity against somebody who is actually one of your people and should know better. She shouldn't have to prove to you that she's bisexual. Nobody should have to. This is like when David Bowie came out as bisexual, everyone annoyed him about it and he said coming out was the biggest mistake of his life. But on topic: I think a lot of female performers were just experimenting but labelling themselves way too early, only to realize (Jessie J for example).
