I am livid. I'm not a raging feminist but this is my body, my uterus, my ovaries. The idea that older males decide what happens to my own body is pathetic.

Planned Parenthood isn't just abortions. They provide cancer screenings, birth control, HIV testing, LGBT services, STD testings..... Defunding PP is just going to make this country sicker and sicker with all the other stuff. Undetected cancers, women with reproductive issues being denied birth control to keep them regular and their hormones in check, HIV/STD rates could go up... it's a disaster. People will die.

I get that the GOP is anti abortion but don't put the lives of millions of women in danger because of 3%.

This move by the GOP is a direct attack on women.

I remember when the "war on women" catchphrase was thrown around a bit more leniently.

Now it's a full on attack.

They are coming for everyone. You were warned.

Oh I didn't support Trump, I'll NEVER support Trump, I bleed blue. I heeded the warnings. I am sick and tired of people thinking that this BS is OKAY. IT'S NOT. GET OUT OF MY UTERUS. WAKE UP AMERICA.

(not you per se', the general situation here. I'm just so angry I could spit)

I should have clarified I meant "you" as in everyone. We were all warned.

Now we're gonna have to have a fully Republican government for at least two years.

Try 4 years!!!  More democrats are up for reelection than republicans are in the next upcoming (midterm) elections...  THIS past recent election was the election where MORE republicans were up for reelection than democrats were, and well you see how THAT turned out!  :madge:

Leave it to male Republicans to make laws on what couples can and can't do in the bedroom and with their bodies.

Republicans should put some of these decisions to thanks ballot .  They seem to do what *they* think is right without considering to people they supposedly are leading.

Exactly. Not a lot pisses me off but the one thing I can't STAND is when men think they can meddle in women's reproductive issues. I'm sorry but they don't have female reproductive organs. Why the **** do they think they're qualified to make these kinds of decisions ?!? That's like having a psychiatrist perform surgery.

I agree with u but what if a man gets a woman pregnant and he wants to keep it but she doesn't? That's his child she's getting rid of :saladga: difficult topic

Male privilege and sexism in all its ugliness tbh. Ugh. It's times like this when I am embarrassed of the other men in this world.

Why can't they all leave well enough alone and think how real men should and let women make their own decisions about their bodies..

Great point. Unfortunately abortion isn't a black and white issue and there are many "what ifs".

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Yeah like healthrisks etc it's one of those issues I have no clear opinion on because both sides make great points.

So by default, the man wins? The women have more at stake here.

They are not only attacking abortions. They are also attacking birth control. The very same thing that would reduce the number of abortions and allows family planning.

I'm not talking about just change in policy, just saying it's a very difficult issue and I don't think you can draw a line that says X side always wins.
