Breaking: 2NE1 Confirmed To Release One Last “GOOD BYE” Song

"CL, Sandara Park, and Park Bom of 2NE1 will be coming back for one last song.

On January 5, it was reported that the members of 2NE1 had flown overseas to film a music video in secret on January 3. The source also mentioned that Gong Minzy was probably not participating in the upcoming project as she has signed under a different agency.

YG Entertainment confirmed the news of 2NE1’s return as they stated, “The members of 2NE1 were sad that they weren’t able to say their final goodbyes to fans after their sudden disbandment, so they’ve come together for one last song.” The agency stated that CL, Sandara Park, and Park Bom have already finished recording the song and have also filmed a music video.

They added, “2NE1 was much-loved, not just in Korea, but all around the world, and they will be saying their official last goodbyes through this upcoming song.”

News of 2NE1’s official disbandment broke in November 2016. Their exclusive contract with YG had ended last May, and Gong Minzy left YG to sign under a different label. YG and the remaining three members were said to have held long discussions before coming to the decision to disband the group.

CL and Sandara Park have decided to stay at YG, and will pursue solo activities.

2NE1’s last track “GOOD BYE” will be released on January 21."
