It might be coincidence, but I doubt it. It might be subconscious. Or it might be that people are intentionally riffing on the song. The latest was an email I just got from Avaaz, titled "A million reasons to hope in 2017". But I've also heard it from at least one TV news anchor, and other times I can't remember now.
