Sure it has a mainstream beat and tempo + tropical sound. But lets not ignore the creepy weird vocals and weird instrumentals in parts of the song like "lets funk downtown" which im not convinced the GP will take. But lets say it is indeed a hit... is it worth it??? The one good thing for Gagas career about this era is the cleansing of her immage!!! Shes getting critical acclaim and ppl are not thinking of herself as the desperate weird girl anymore A clean immage into her next era would be good. I think Dancing In Circles could stain that a little bit and defeat the benefits if this era and do more harm than good long term Ud be sacraficing immage rebuilding of a whole elbul era to MAYBE getting a hit. That price seems to high to me! Her label knows whats mainstream. If they really thought it was a good idea to release this song im sure theyd try to get Gaga to! I don't necessarily think, however, that this is something specific of the Joanne era. I feel like throughout the whole year 2016 she and her management have made an effort to draw the attention away from her eccentricity and focus more on the music to be remembered as a musical legend instead of a "Madonna-esque" pop star. Personally, however, she lost that image for me during the Joanne era when she tried to play the guitar (don't come at me, she's really not that good at it) and when she talked about Madonna and how she is VERY different because she plays many instruments. How many instruments does she play? The piano and the guitar for all I know and the latter she's not very good at. Generally, during the Joanne era she adapted a way of speaking during interviews which comes off as fake and wannabe-chilled-easy-going-buddy-boys club musician like, she stripped down and discredited many things that made her who she was. TF, TFM, BTW was all about having that Madonna-kind of fame. DIC would be the one single that would be true to her former artistry, so I don't think it would damage her image. By the way, I think musically, Joanne is her greatest album to date and I have always supported everything she has done so far, from PI to the MR music video meltdowns I have always stood by her.
