ARTPOP is BTW Fashion, and Vice Versa

Reading the thread about switching the Applause and PI videos, I was reminded about how much I used to think ARTPOP and BTW's fashion should've been reversed. 

For BTW, it was all about being yourself, and what better way to do that (for the GP to understand) than too... be more natural

It also fits with the whole changing every day thing she had with ARTPOP, because she's continuously being born over and over again. 

With ARTPOP, BTW fashion would've better help represent the crazy, loud, explosive, and colorful sounding music found on ARTPOP.

I don't know what else to say but YAS! I agree. But also, the begin of ARTPOP was different. If u look now, Joanne look the same way she described ARTPOP in the begin (I took the wig off, all the clothes, and I wanted to show that I can do it without all the props) *not exactly these words but whatever*.

I mean, the beggining of the ARTPOP era could have worked for BTW, but after the era took another direction and wasn't that "natural" look at all i don't think so

Born this way wasn't ( exclusively and at least for gaga) about being your 'natural' self though. It was about being halfway between fantasy and reality. BTW fashion suited the era perfectly.

Everyone can just change the album cover of ARTPOP to this.

Personally I don't see it. I don't think the whole Judas rocker/religious bandana wearing leather girl would fit well with light hearted, comically and intentionally shallow material of ARTPOP. Don't come at me with "ARTPOP isn't shallow" because Gaga wanted ARTPOP to be conceptualized that way. 

The colorful and "sunny" aspect of ARTPOP fashion doesn't fit well with the exploration of pain and liberating one's inner suffering either.

In a way, BTW is a celebration veiled under dark pain and ARTPOP is pain veiled in celebration. Kind of Yin and Yang.

OT: I see what you mean and maybe it would work sometimes but I wouldn't change a thing about the BTW era. Looking back at it, it's just so epic and beautiful. I'm glad I was here to live it (even tho I never got to go to the BTWB cause I was too young)
