Shoutout to Brandon Maxwell

I suppose it's not the individual looks themselves but rather the fact that Gaga has consistently worn similar looking Maxwell dresses and pantsuits for a long enough time. We are so used to such a great variety of diverse looks, multicolored, flamboyant and jaw-dropping ones, that Maxwell's work bores us a little tbh. That doesn't mean his works themselves are bad, but for an artist like Lady GAGA to turn to his monotonous works so often is a little... Disappointing.

To me he's the best stylist ever but as a designer I don't see it.

I completely agree. I'm not feeling the Nicopanda line for the most part.

I feel like it is the opposite for Brandon. A great designer, but not as strong as a stylist.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

I can appreciate the consistency that is "needed" for his style to be recognizable, but look at Versace. Their clothing can look completely different, but it is all somehow uniquely Versace. I'm not saying that Maxwell isn't a good designer and stylist, he just isn't the best. His clothing lacks diversity. Save the consistency for a particular style or line, not the entirety of your brand.

This is what I mean

I love Brandon's style I think it fits perfectly with Gaga's "lady" aesthetic. She always looks amazing in his dresses, the lines and curves of his dresses are stunning.

The Surrealist

Yes, promote him.

His looks are so simple but elegant and have a twist everytime, i.e. the pantsuit.

He is a much better stylist than Formachetti. :whitney:
