The Child 18,997
You forgot Britney, Xtina, Destiny's child, NSYNC and many others. A decade can't be represented by its one hit wonders. IMO when I think of the 2000s I think of all of these artists and many others. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

Even though I was born at the start of this era (2000) I still love this era of music. sitting on his lap sipping diet pepsi

I personally love the 90's. 80's are iconic too but 00's are what made Gaga and some big pop names so props to that. I just believe this decade is the worst of all. I don't really consider Gaga to be part of the 2000s tbh. There will always be acts that pave the way for the next decade's trends. The cheesiness of the 2000s are carried on from the late 90s. Gaga created the dance pop trend of the early 2010s.

hELXIG 42,966
I think in the early 2000's somehow the 90's were still dragging along in a way, and noone knew where things were going. It was kind of a lost and confused era in time! I guess that's part of the reason Gaga exploded so fast! She gave direction to a pop-culture world that was just wandering around bored and confused. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
Bolkins 4,125
I thought the 2000's was like the 80's, like an 80's 2.0, v tasteless and tacky. This decade however has been the complete opposite we'll look back and appreciate this decade. Not the bore worms!

Just insert different artists in the place of the two you named to conveniently suit the point. Every generation has good and bad but only the good are really remembered.
