Nothing in This World by Paris Hilton still sounds as fresh as it did back in 2006 though

At least we had decent music during the 90's and 00's. Now we have Selena Gomez and Meghan Trainor. I feel bad for younger generations.

(shrug).....

At least we have Ari

Really? I remember lots of great (not just mainstream) music from the 2000s.

Also, The Fame/Monster happened

Do you hear that? It's poison.

They say styles come back every 20 years so maybe the reason the decade seems so tacky is because it was too recent to appreciate but far enough to see a distinction. I think a lot of people might've thought the same of the 90s in 2006, but the 90s are glorified now so it's hard to imagine

Perhaps so... I'm trying to capture the ugliness of the 2000s. When you go into cheap hardware stores, you think of the 2000s. When you go to questionable Karaoke bars, you think of the 2000s. When you look at bad CGI, you think of the 2000s. You get what I'm talking about here? :toofunny:

Ah yes, that makes more sense and now I get what you were saying lol. Those songs are super bad and sound so outdated :cryga:

A lot of my favorite music comes from the eighties, but I think the worst of the eighties might even top the worst of the 2000's in tackiness :toofunny:

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

At least in the 80s they were attempting to go for some level of glamour? The 2000s was just so casual and loose that it's ugly...

So youre saying music from the 2000s sucked?

This argument is older than you and TIRED. Stop claiming music has gone to hell because you don't like it. If you don't like it, then reach and find something you do like instead of complaining, Christ.

la la la la la la la la :music: Better than Bieber, Ariana, Chainsmokers, FH, and those things we have now, tbh. :reductive:

It might not be the weirdest decade, but it sure beats everyone else in terms of sheer tackiness... Even if the mainstream did not look tacky, the cheesiest of the other decades will never come close to the cheesiest of this one...

And while the others might have dated gracefully, the 2000s just look like an ugly mess imo...

This is cherry picking at its finest.  You can literally go to any decade and find music videos this bad/tacky in any decade, including the 2010s, but the same can be said for finding great music videos/songs.
