Do you think Gaga will sing live during her Super Bowl half time show?

Can anyone please correct me . But if Katy did not sing live doesn't that mean the vocals should have been better. All these years I thought she sang live because of how bad the      vocals were. Going off pitch     several times and stuff.

Madonna didn't lip sync, but did use playback.

Yeah but pretty much every pop star that does choreo does that.

but pre-recorded is still playback, right?

yes except the vocals are not the CD ones, they are freshly recorded

It's demanded by the NFL to have a pre-recorded track ready. Portions can be live if it's necessary. Katy was partially live, Beyonce was partially live, Cee-Lo Green and Madonna were partly live during Like A Prayer. So yes, Gaga will have to submit a backing track for sure. If technicalities allow it, part of it can be live. If she's flying across the stadium like Katy for instance, that part will have to be pre-recorded because of constant feedback back into the microphone.

You can't sound drowned out. Listen to Fergie when the BEP did the Superbowl. The echo on her voice sounds like an espresso machine from hell and it's just the echo, not her voice.

Yeah I'm pretty sure BEP wasn't pre recorded because they had hella sound problems.

And Cold Play seemed live too, since their voices were lower than the album tracks.

Maybe a strategy to make the recording more plausible ?
