why does she have any relevancy?

exactly what does she contribute to society?

I wonder the same thing, she basically raped her younger sister and now she comes out with this. I'm not a Meninist or anti-Feminist, but Lena Dunham is just such a disgrace to feminism as a whole I feel like. There are so many others feminists who are more productive and better than her, and for her to be revered as this icon and to be put at the forefront of the modern movement is despicable

Double-edged sword though, women and men can't hate her without being labeled as anti-feminists or supporters of the patriarchy :madge:

what

It's in Dunham's book, she basically talks about playing with her younger sister's vagina and it's so strange how she mapped it out. I get if it was because of some female empowerment, but, you can't not label what you did to your sister as not rape if the sister was not old enough to give consent properly. They weren't that old, but Lena was definitely exploring her sexuality at that age and her sister was far too young to realize what Lena was doing, at least that is the criticism against Lena in that instance

Apparently Lena was 7 and her sister was one year old, very creepy and off-putting

tbh 7 isnt an age within puberty so she knew nothing about what she was doing, at that age people cannot get pregnant or have orgasms, but i totally get it and its actually kinda creepy

I get what you mean, but it's still just so strange. Imagine being the younger sister and reading about what your own sister did to you at one year old, and that your older sister would publish that to the greater public. Altogether unnerving

it is somewhat very odd, almost as it didn't happen and she just wants to make up a story about her relation with womens body from an early age, but apart from lying she approached the topic in a very very inappropiate way

as a person who likes to be neutral on almost all topics: She is the reason why i try not to go too far left or too far right. Shes the example of when extremism takes control.

I have no real opinion about Lena or her work, but I do love how upsetting everyone seems to find her. Thank God there is at least one ridiculous, boundary-pushing, public figure.

She must have phrased that wrong or meant something different because that's just such a strange thing to say :wtfga:

Well you have Trump :duck:

But since he isn't a feminist, he doesn't count, right?
