Only this time, Donald Trump had the luxury of free media coverage because of the spectacles he created. Hillary Clinton, though? She boasted about being a moderate Democrat. She promoted "incremental change" as if it were something to be proud of. At this point, casting the blue vote for other candidates makes no difference to the overall outcome. It's more of a big "**** you" to the democratic establishment. The only chance would have been for red voters to choose another candidate so that it would go to congress, who would undoubtedly choose another republican. It basically boils down to "Trump lied about almost literally everything! Who could've guessed this?" He's even partially admitted it to his supporters When reports came out throughout the entire election cycle about how fake and slant all of these scandals that made her "corrupt" were (compared to the decades of real, verifiable, proven accounts of Trumps corruption and ineffective business running ), when people involved in all of these scandals came out and said "Uhm, that's not true", when people that fact check politicians for a living speent hours of their time writing reports about the truth and setting the record straight, people just put their fingers in their ears and said "But shes corrupt! I just know it! With all of this reporting on it, theres no way she isn't!" Part of the problem is that we have no way currently of monitoring fake news. That and news networks should be held to a higher ethical standard than they are. The most watched news station literally lies to its viewers and occasionally even has people on it that promote sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic behavior and attitudes And by lie, I don't mean by slant or roundabout different perspectives. They have been known to literally say things that are false or use propaganda to encourage their viewers to adopt a belief that they know themselves is not true (or to the extent they promote). It's just so unethical TBH Plus shes been a politician for 30 years. If Hillary had done one tenth of what Trump had already done, she would be up for impeachment and have dozens of "special counsels" investigating her at this very moment. Ill watch but I think the dems surrendering the progressive vote will cost if they choose too. Many, many progressives voted for Clinton. She did just as well popular vote wise as Obama did in 2012.
